Website privacy and analytics

Limited website statistics

This notice applies to tipscoach.app, operated by Xstream Networks, LLC. The app privacy policy describes the iPhone app.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits, popular pages and articles, referral sources, approximate visitor locations and device/browser types. We use these aggregate statistics to improve the website. Google Analytics is no longer loaded on the website, and there is no analytics consent popup.

Vercel describes its analytics as anonymous aggregate measurement without identifiers that track visitors across websites or apps. It derives a visitor hash from technical request information; visitor-session identification is discarded after 24 hours. It does not use third-party analytics cookies. See Vercel’s analytics privacy explanation.

What website analytics measures

We send only pageview events with the public canonical address, excluding its query string and fragment. Vercel also processes referring-page information supplied by the browser and technical request/device information for its reports. Referrers may identify Google or an AI assistant when that information is available. Missing referral information cannot establish how a visitor found us.

Our free setup does not collect custom App Store click, calculator-use, article-reading-time or scroll-completion events. We do not read form fields or send calculator inputs, results, private shift records, names, email addresses or payment details. There is no session replay, advertising personalization or cross-device matching. Local previews and Vercel preview deployments send no website analytics.

Your analytics preference

You can turn website analytics off here at any time. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. An unexpired decline from our previous prompt is carried forward as an opt-out. Former Google Analytics cookies are removed when this integration runs on the live website.

Browser storage holds only your analytics preference, not a visitor identifier. It remains until you change it or clear browser storage. If storage is unavailable, a preference change may apply only to this page. Turning analytics off does not affect articles, calculators, worksheets or App Store links. A preference change cannot recall data already sent.

Apple campaign links and QR codes

App Store links include Apple campaign and provider tokens identifying the public website campaign and developer account. Separate names distinguish buttons, QR codes and Safari banners, including the article where they appear. These tokens contain no reader or session identifier. Apple supplies aggregate campaign attribution subject to its reporting thresholds.

Displaying a QR code does not record a scan. A camera scan goes directly to Apple; qualifying downloads can be attributed to the QR campaign. Apple’s product-page views and downloads are separate from website visits and are not exact website click or scan counters. They do not connect a desktop reader to an iPhone user or disclose that desktop visitor’s original referral source. Apple’s privacy practices apply after you open its links. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Search reporting, hosting and contact

Google Search Console supplies aggregate search queries, impressions, clicks and indexing information separately. It does not require Google Analytics on this website. Vercel also processes technical requests to deliver and protect the website.
